Has anyone ever seen this Allocchio Bacchini short wave receiver and associated AC mains power supply unit?
It has two frequency ranges: 10-25m and 20-80m AM and CW. There is no type number and serial number on the identification plate. Prototype amateur radio receiver?

Re: Unknown Allocchio Baccchini receiver
Hi Louis really glad to read you. How are you, hope fine also in this sad period. Ref your set shoul be more details : tubes, knobs indications, better photo of the PSU name plate. On the set I noted the indication "Microfono" that usually means "microphone input" quite strange for a receiver. Please let us have some inside photos. Welcome and hope to solve your problem Mario ik0moz

Accanto alla presa bipolare a destra verso il basso a me pare di leggere "TELEFONO".

Hi Louis, this unit maybe a receiver, in the bottom side tuning knob and dial, in the right possible reaction knob, then "telefono" maybe "headset" , in the center the calibration scale for two band, in the upper side the band switch and left and right two knobs with unknown use. Will be very interesting to watch inside, to find some other usefull trace.
Many thanks Gabriele IK6QNE www.oldtimeradio.it
Re: Unknown Allocchio Baccchini receiver
Hello again, thank you for the comments on this interesting receiver. Attached are 4 additional photographs showing more details. This receiver is not mine and brought to my attention assuming it might have been an agents receiver. But considering its dimensions and particularly the frequency coverage (10 to 80m), calibrated in meters, this is very doubtful. The receiver has only headphones output sockets, therefore not suitable as an ‘entertainment’ receiver for troops. Two valves are identified as 6SH7 and 6C5.
