The "25 Watts bilradiostation 25W Bl m/39"
is a bit exotic transmitter/receiver of Swedish design.
The first radio' s were released in 1939 and during WW2 they were produced in small quantities. As far I understand no more than about 250 "bilradiostations" (car radiostations) were produced. The trx uses Philips P-socket tubes like EK2 and EL2A in the receiver and EL3 and EL6 in the transmitter. 25 Watt is a bit confusing, I suppose they meant total input, because the EL6 output is maximum 5 Watt. The 25W Bl m/39 has some slight similarity with German Wehrmacht equipment. Not only due to its dull grey colour, but also due to he general use of aluminium castings. EG the IF-transformers are cast in one piece with the chassis. Extremely strong! Another remarkable feature of the set is the use of Philips semi-finished circuitboards. Sweden was neutral during WW2 so the Germans permitted Philips to deliver tubes and components from occupied Holland to Sweden throughout the war.
The 25W Bl m/39 has also a man portable version, called 10W Br m/39 which used battery tubes. This set has the same general appearance as the mobile set. During the war the 25 Watt and 10 Watt sets were a bit outdated compared to developments in the USA, Great Britain and Germany, but still a remarkable radio.

Tnx for the post Jan. Very interesting. As I know Swedish Armed Forces used only made in Sweden radio equipments. Being very difficult to have info about this series of sets, now could be the possibility, I hope, to start the discovery of that unknown radio family. Any info will be higly appreciated
